Michael Garaway believes that as well as being engaging and fulfilling on a personal level, art in general forms a rich resource for many kinds of learning, and serves the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals and communities.  Inspired by urban landscapes and technologies, his work clearly reveals his interest in geometrical composition, and his sensitivity to surfaces, tone and colour. Although adept with creative apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator, he still attaches great importance to the physical handling of acrylic, watercolour, pastels, and other conventional media. The disciplines of observation, drawing and colour continue to underpin his work.
